The minor in Chemistry enhances knowledge of concepts, theory, and application from diverse areas of chemistry. Students considering a minor in Chemistry should contact the Department of Natural Sciences and Mathematics to determine course rotation schedules and assist with advising of coursework
Learning Outcomes
Successful graduates of this program will be able to:
- Apply fundamental chemical concepts to solve diverse problems.
- Apply technical procedures to chemistry problems in theory and in laboratory settings.

- CHEM courses (18 hours)
Special Requirements
Students completing the BS Biological Sciences may earn the minor in Chemistry by completing a minimum of 12 credits of upper-level CHEM courses. Credits applied to the minor may not also be used to satisfy major or emphasis requirements.
Students completing the BA Biology may earn the minor in Chemistry by completing a minimum of 15 credits of upper-level CHEM courses. Credits applied to the minor may not also be used to satisfy major or emphasis requirements.
