Program Description
The Bachelor of Science in Audio Production is designed for students seeking a comprehensive education in the creative, technical, and practical dimensions of modern audio production. The program integrates artistic exploration with advanced technological training, preparing students for careers in Music Recording, Live Sound Reinforcement, Professional AV (Pro AV), Music Production, and audio production across a wide range of media applications. Students develop critical listening skills, technical proficiency, and extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard tools, workflows, and practices used in contemporary sound production and engineering environments.
Learning Outcomes
Successful graduates of this program will be able to:
- Analyze and apply audio theory, recording principles, and signal flow to solve technical and creative problems in audio production contexts.
- Apply critical listening skills to evaluate, capture, and mix sound across a range of production environments and aesthetic goals.
- Operate, configure, and maintain professional audio and audiovisual systems and equipment using industry-standard workflows and best practices.
- Collaborate effectively in professional audio production settings to plan, execute, and deliver completed audio projects that meet technical, creative, and organizational expectations.
